Palazzolo Acreide (Palazzuolu or Palazzuolu Acreidi in Sicilian) is an Italian town of 8 668 inhabitants [1] of the province of Syracuse in Sicily. A baroque city with Greek roots, located in the Iblei Mountains and not far from the Anapo River and the Pantalica Rock Necropolis, in 2002 it was awarded the UNESCO World Heritage title, together with the Val di Noto. The town is also part of the circuit of the most beautiful villages in Italy.
